On Saturday, September 20, 2003, the congregation of First Presbyterian Church gathered at Ford Dobbs Fort historical site just north of Statesville. It was an afternoon of fun, food and fellowship. First Presbyterian Church is very rich in history.

Special thanks goes to the Anniversary Committee, who explored ideas for almost a year. Richard Boyd, Bob Brady, George Caudle, Doris Corl, Jarrett Frazier, Mary Gilbert, JoAnn Grose, Susan and Bill Hollingsworth, Donna Johnson, Keith Rasmussen, Michelle Rokes, Peter Sahhar, Gordon Scott, Elaine Steele, Sue Walser and Duke Williams served as members of the committee. Also, Gordon Scott as sub-committee chair with George Caudle, Bob Brady, David Meacham and Paul Sink devoted time to pursue the Fourth Creek Village anniversary mission project.
